Grade 12 students from two high schools in Bitou travelled to Grahamstown to attend South Africa’s National Science Festival (Scifest Africa), from 3 March - 6 March 2016.
This has been the second year that we’ve been able to send science students from Plettenberg Bay Secondary and Murray High to this life changing event.
Reputable institutions, such as NASA as well as South Africa’s leading scientists gathered to give students a broader understanding of space technologies.
The students had an enlightening time and attended 18 fascinating workshops. We believe that this annual initiative allows these students to gain a better understanding of the different career opportunities within Science, to feel inspired towards their academics and to realize that there is a whole world filled with possibilities out there for them to explore.
