Bitou 10 Foundation Year-End Breakfast Highlights!
December 2025
We wrapped up the year on Saturday with a beautiful breakfast at Roadside Café — wonderful weather, good coffee, great food, and even better company. It was exactly the kind of morning that reminds us why this work matters and how strong our community really is.
Our Chairperson, Douglas Baartman, shared a few heartfelt reflections on the year: the wins worth celebrating, the challenges we’ve worked through together, and appreciation for every person contributing to the Foundation: staff, directors, and the community.
We also shared some bittersweet news. After her dedicated service as our contracted Mathematics Education Specialist, Hanlie Botha is moving to be closer to her family and stepping into a new role. Hanlie's contribution to our Mathematics resource project has been invaluable, and the impact of this project's success will be felt for a long time to come. We will miss her deeply, and we wish her every joy and success in this next chapter.
As we head into the festive season, we’re grateful — for our supporters, our schools, our
volunteers, and every person who helped us carry this year. And from each one of us at Bitou 10: We wish you all a season filled with rest, sunshine, and moments that matter. Here’s to a bright and hopeful 2026!
